"Appointment failure"

I got in the surgery 10 minutes prior to appointment and a patient turned up late but got took through early. I then waited 40 minutes after my time and the patient was still in the room when I enquired and was told I had missed my appointment so could not be seen. Explained that I had booked in at the desk early but still was told I would need to make another appointment. I came out of work early for this and to date I have not been seen..
